I did THIS when I was stuck at $3k/mth…

Back in 2015, I was a fresh-faced young entrepreneur, wet behind the ears, not knowing my a** from my elbow.

When I say “young”… I was 34.

I’d just moved back to London from Egypt. My daughter was 2 months old. I was bringing in $2-3k a month, and even that wasn’t stable.

Perilous.

So what did I do?

I dropped $25k on a mastermind. Put it on my credit card.

Smart, Olly. Smart.

(Oh, and responsible, too.)

I flew to Boise, Idaho and spent the next 12 months in Russell Brunson’s Inner Circle, sitting in a room surrounded by millionaires, getting the fire-hosing of a lifetime.

I wasn’t ready.

No way was I ready.

And yet…

It was the best move I could have possibly made.

See, I was stuck at $2-3k a month.

My problem was that I couldn’t see the pathway to grow.

It wasn’t a problem of work ethic or ability. I was just so new to the game that I didn’t know what I didn’t know.

My calculation in dropping $25k on Russell’s Inner Circle was this:

”I don’t know if my business is going to work or not. But if it fails… it won’t be out of ignorance.”

In other words…

I was determined to get the knowledge I needed to grow my business.

To learn from people who had already done it.

Then, I would work my a** off to implement.

If my business still didn’t work after that, at least I’d know I’d given it 100%.

{Fast forward 10 years}

StoryLearning becomes a multi-million dollar business, where I work only a couple of days a month.

The plan worked.

Luck?

Hardly.

I just got the knowledge, then I implemented.

Knowledge —> Action.

That was the theory behind joining the Inner Circle, and that’s why it was such a great move for me at the time.

Now, I don’t know your business, but I’ll guess you have struggles.

  • Unclear on your business model
  • Not sure what move to make next
  • Sales are declining
  • Questions around your positioning
  • Harmful money mindset

The list is endless.

But remember, whatever your struggles are, you only have these problems because you already built something amazing.

They’re growth problems, not starting problems.

For example, back in 2015, when StoryLearning felt like it was just starting, I now realise it already had $10M potential. I just couldn’t see it at the time.

Wherever your business is at right now…

Whatever’s going on in your world…

That’s just where it’s supposed to be.

It’s your next move that matters.

There was a problem with Russell’s Inner Circle, though.

As great as it was, the members had all different kinds of businesses.

Amazon FBA, marketing agencies, etc.

Hardly anyone was doing what I was doing – teaching my knowledge online.

And it felt like nobody could relate.

This is why, at OllyRichards.co, I made the decision to focus squarely on education businesses.

Online education is my speciality, and I want to make something that feels like “home” for everyone who runs an education business.

Namaste,

Olly
